Paddy McGrandles – Flute & Tin Whistle Player

Paddy McGrandles is a talented flute and whistle player hailing from North Belfast. He began his musical journey at age 11 in secondary school, starting with the tin whistle. By 16, he transitioned to the wooden flute and impressively achieved his LCM Grade 8 with distinction within a year.

Paddy pursued music studies at the Magee Campus of Ulster University. His career took off as he performed with various Irish dance shows, notably “Women of Ireland,” where he toured the US, including a memorable St. Patrick’s Day performance in Chicago and shows throughout Texas, Arkansas, and Florida.

He later joined “Rhythm of the Dance,” allowing him to tour the US and Canada and perform at prestigious venues, such as Crocus City Hall and RTE Studios in Dublin for a St. Patrick’s Day recording of the Late Late Show.

As a former member of the popular band All Folk’d Up, Paddy has played at major music festivals across Ireland and the UK, as well as events like the Cheltenham Races and RiRa in Las Vegas.

We are delighted to have Paddy as a member of The Young Wolfetones having joined in early 2024.  Paddy is excited about upcoming tours in Ireland, UK and the US.
